La BMW M Team WRT n°15 s’élancera en pole position des 24 Heures du Mans 2026 à l’issue d’une séance de qualifications particulièrement disputée.
La première place avait dans un premier temps été attribuée à la Cadillac Hertz Team Jota n°38, Jack Aitken ayant amélioré son propre record du tour. Toutefois, l’équipage a été sanctionné pour avoir quitté son stand prématurément et a été rétrogradé à la 10e position sur la grille.
La Cadillac n°12 de Hertz Team Jota héritera ainsi d’une place en première ligne aux côtés de la BMW n°15. Les tenants du titre, la Ferrari n°83 d’AF Corse, partiront quant à eux depuis la 17e place, tandis que la meilleure Toyota engagée occupera la 14e position.
En LMP2, la pole position revient à la Forestier Racing by Panis n°29, qui partagera la première ligne avec l’IDEC Sport n°28. Lauréate de la catégorie l’an dernier, l’Inter Europol Competition n°43 prendra le départ depuis la quatrième place.
En LMGT3, l’Aston Martin n°27 du Heart of Racing Team a signé le meilleur temps de sa catégorie devant la Ferrari n°21 de Vista AF Corse.
